You should keep your money in a credit union because doing so means you are participating in a financial instituion that only serves your interests, not those of investors or stockholders. This means that you will consistently have access to well-priced financial services that are intended to provide value, not maximize profits. You will have an equal voice in electing those who govern the credit union on your behalf, no matter how large or small your deposit or loan relationship with the credit union. With being a member of Community Credit Union, you can also have the satifsfaction of knowing that your participation in the credit union generates direct support for the local community.
